Synopsis: A French theatre group travels to India trailing the story of a historic saintly man called Tukaram. The group films a documentary of the preparation and theatrical performance of his life in the village in which he lived; using the local community as the backdrop. All this is conveyed from the perspective of the young Tukaram foretelling his own life-story.
